Hi, everybody. My name is John Fischer. Welcome to Accredited Investorleads.com high net worth investors. So what is a high net worth? You know what really matters? If you’re doing a private placement, and that’s pretty much who my customers are doing.
Private placement memorandums 5045-0556. The most common one now that you don’t have to worry about Solicitation, is the 50 six C, as in Charlie. It doesn’t matter about high net worth. What’s important is that they are accredited.
So remember that. But a high net worth investor is exactly what they say. What is his net worth? Million? 5 million? 10 million? Maybe that’s what they mean. But the good thing about the Security Change Commission definition of an Accredited Investor is he’s got to have at least a million net worth, not including his home.
So they’re right there. I think it’s safe for us to say that an Accredited Investor is a high net worth investor, but there is a category called Qualified, a Credit investor, and that’s only to be used in hedge fund and what we call master private placements.
And you’re only allowed to use a qualified Accredited Investor. That person is qualified for a quarter million risk capital and must have $5 million in risk capital available. Investment capital available.
So big difference. Again, high net worth investor, it’s just a pretty generic term, but when it comes to regulations, especially if you’re doing a reg D-A-A Credit Investor or B, qualified, Accredited Investor is the categories that I’d be more concerned with.
